# Shuster + Moseley

> UK-based practice working in optical sculpture and durational light works, founded in 2014 by Claudia Moseley and Edward Shuster.

Responding to a world mediated by technologies of light, they deconstruct and suspend the photographic apparatus of lens and screen, creating sculptural instruments and environments that articulate light's spectral and durational properties. Their constellations of hand-formed optical lenses and their large-scale prismic glass sculptures explore the dual physical and psychological nature of light and its potential to simultaneously fragment and crystallise experience.

The practice has created large-scale site-responsive works within sites of hypermediacy, including the Great Pyramids of Giza, Times Square, AlUla, Lumiere Durham, Noor Riyadh, and D3 Dubai. Scientific collaborations include the Institute for Computational Cosmology at Durham University, the Molecular Neuroscience Group at the University of Cambridge, and the UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences.
