harmonic lens

Borosilicate glass rods, steel. 2015
20cm x 80cm (plinth 190cm x 20cm)
A ‘future relic’ derived from experimentation with lens forms, considering an active visioning that both proceeds and constitutes telescope and telematics. Created from hand-cut rods of borosilicate glass, each length is regular but the widths vary according to a harmonic ratio derived from the Lambdoma - spatial relations that we then deconstruct in dialogue.

Longlisted and presented at York Gallery for Aesthetica Art Prize 2016
